يَا رَبِّ صَلِّ وَ سَلَّمْ دَائِماً أَبَداً
O My Lord send blessing and peace,
always and forever
عَلَى النَّبِيِّ وَ أَهْلِ البَيْتِ كُلِّهِم
On the Prophet and his household, all of them
أَبَانَ مَسْجِدُهُمْ فَضْلاً لِمُنْكِرِهِمْ
Their masjid is clear in superiority
for those who reject them
كَمْ فِيهِ مِنْ قَابِمٍ بِالْوَعْظِ وَالْحِكَمِ
How many stand and give
admonition and wisdom in them
يَوْمٌ أَتَى فِيهِ مَوْلَانَا الحُسَيْنِ هُنَا
The day when our master al-Husayn came there
عِيدُ لَنَا نِعْمَةٌ مِنْ وَاهِبِ النعَمِ
Was an Eid for us, a blessing from the Granter of blessings
وَبَاتَ مَسْجِدُهُ وَ الكَوْنُ أَجْمَعُهُ
His masjid is established and the entire Cosmos
مُنَوَّرُ بِقُدُومِ السَيِّدِ العَلَمِ
Is enlightened by the coming of the eminent Sayyid
يَا رَبِّ صَلِّ وَ سَلَّمْ دَائِماً أَبَداً
O My Lord send blessing and peace,
always and forever
عَلَى النَّبِيِّ وَ أَهْلِ البَيْتِ كُلِّهِم
On the Prophet and his household, all of them
وَالنَّارُ تُحْرِقُ يَوْمَ الحَشْرِ قَاتِلَهُ
The fire will burn his killers on the Day of Gathering
وَهَهُنَا قَدْ رُمِي بِالذُّلِّ وَالنِّقَمِ
Here they will be bombarded with humiliation and wrath
وَمَا سَمِعْنَا بِبَيْتٍ نَالَ مَكْرُمَةً
We have not heard of any household that received honor
كَمِثْلِ بَيْتِهِم مِنْ سَالِفِ القِدَمِ
from the ancients like their household
فَالصِّدْقُ وَالحِلْمُ وَالإِحْسَانُ شِيْمَتُهُمْ
Truthfulness, clemency
and excellence are their characteristics
وَالعَفْوُ وَ الْجُودُ وَالإِنْفَتَاءُ لِلنِّمَمِ
Also pardoning, generosity and fulfilling trusts
يَا رَبِّ صَلِّ وَ سَلَّمْ دَائِماً أَبَداً
O My Lord send blessing and peace,
always and forever
عَلَى النَّبِيِّ وَ أَهْلِ البَيْتِ كُلِّهِم
On the Prophet and his household, all of them
ظَنُّو بِخَالِقِهِمْ خَيْراً وَقَدْ عَمِلُوا
They have the best opinion of their Creator and they performed
أَعْمَالَ أَهْلِ الهُدَى حُبّاً لِرَبِّهِمِ
the actions of the people of guidance out of love of their Lord
وَقَايَةٌ حُبُّ أَهْلِ البَيْتِ قَاطِبَةً
Love of the Prophetic Household is an absolute shield
مِنَ السَّعِيرِ فَلَا تَرْكَنْ لِغَيْرِهِم
From damnation so do not rely on other than them
مَا سَامَنِي زَمَنِي سُوءاً وَ زُرْتُهُمُو
There is no time that evil has
afflicted me and I go to visit them
إِلَّا وَ قَدْ زَالَ مَا قَدْ كَانَ مِنْ غُمَمِ
Except every distress that occurred is removed
يَا رَبِّ صَلِّ وَ سَلَّمْ دَائِماً أَبَداً
O My Lord send blessing and peace,
always and forever
عَلَى النَّبِيِّ وَ أَهْلِ البَيْتِ كُلِّهِم
On the Prophet and his household, all of them
وَلَا الْتَمَسْتُ غِنَى نَفْسِي بِحُبِّهِم
I have never sought, by loving them
enrichment of my spirit
إِلَّا وَ نِلْتُ الغِنَى مِنْ سِرَ نُورِهِم
Except I obtained enrichment by the secret of their light
لا تنكر السرَّ فِي آلِ الرَّسُولِ فَهُمْ
Do not deny the secret in the family
of the Messenger because they
مِنْ نُورٍ جَدِهِمْ جَاءُوا بِسِرِّهِم
Are from the light of their grandfather
and they bring their secret
وَذَاكَ أَنَّهُمُوا مِنْهُ وَوَالِدُهُمْ
Because they are from him and their father is
بَابُ العُلُومِ عَلَى فَارِسُ الأُمَمِ
The gate of knowledge; Ali, the champion of the nations
يَا رَبِّ صَلِّ وَ سَلَّمْ دَائِماً أَبَداً
O My Lord send blessing and peace,
always and forever
عَلَى النَّبِيِّ وَ أَهْلِ البَيْتِ كُلِّهِم
On the Prophet and his household, all of them
وَسَاءَ أَهْلَ التَّقَى طَرَاً بِأَحْمَعِهِمْ
The people of piety grieved all of them without exception
وَالمُخْلِصِينَ لَهُمْ مَا قَدْ جَرَى بِهِم
And the sincere ones due to what happened to them
كَأَنَّ فِي كُلِّ قَلْبٍ مِنْ مُصَابِهِم
As if in every heart is a share of their affliction
نَاراً وَ فِي كُلِّ عَيْنٍ مِنْ دِمَا بِهِم
Like a fire and in every eye their blood
وَالجِنُّ تَرْتِي لَهُمْ حُزْناً وَ تَمْدَحُهُمْ
The Jinn lament over them out of grief and eulogize them
وَالأَرْضُ تَبْكِي وَمَنْ بِالحِلَّ وَالحَرَمِ
And the Earth cries and those outside and within Sanctuary
يَا رَبِّ صَلِّ وَ سَلَّمْ دَائِماً أَبَداً
O My Lord send blessing and peace,
always and forever
عَلَى النَّبِيِّ وَ أَهْلِ البَيْتِ كُلِّهِم
On the Prophet and his household, all of them
عَمُوا الْأَعَادِي فَلَمْ تُدْرِكْ بَصَابِرُهُمْ
The enemies were blinded so their discernment did not comprehend
مُثْقَالَ ذَرَّةٍ نُورٍ مِنْ ضِيَابِهِم
Even an atom's weight of illumination from their light
مِنْ بَعْدِ مَا شَهِدُوا أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ لَهُمْ
After attesting that the Prophet is
جَدُّ وَهُمْ قِطَعٌ مِنْ نُورِ جَدِهِم
Their grandfather and they
are from the light of their grandfather
وَبَعْدَ مَا شَهِدُوا قَدْ حَارَبُوا دُرَراً
After testifying that, they went to war with pearls
مَوْصُولَةً بِإِمَامِ الرُّسُلِ كُلِّهِم
Connected to the Leaders of the Messengers
all of them
يَا رَبِّ صَلِّ وَ سَلَّمْ دَائِماً أَبَداً
O My Lord send blessing and peace,
always and forever
عَلَى النَّبِيِّ وَ أَهْلِ البَيْتِ كُلِّهِم
On the Prophet and his household, all of them
حَتَّى أَتَى اللَّهُ بِالنَّصْرِ المَبِينِ فَلَا
Until Allah brought a clear victory
تَرَى الْأَعَادِي سِوَى مَيْتٍ وَ مُنْهَزِم
So that the enemies saw nothing but death and defeat
كَأَنَّهُمْ فِي التَّوَلَّى أَهْلُ خَيْبَرَ إِذْ
As if they were among the people of Khaybar when
كَانَ الإِمَامُ عَلَى فِي تُحُورِهِم
Imam Ali was upon their neck
نَبْدَاً لِأَعْدَابِهِمْ طَرْداً لَهُمْ وَلَهُمْ
Discarding and expelling them due to their enmity
يُقَالُ سُحْقًا إِذَا جَاءُوا لِمَائِهِم
It was said to them, 'Away with you!
when they came for their water
يَا رَبِّ صَلِّ وَ سَلَّمْ دَائِماً أَبَداً
O My Lord send blessing and peace,

عَلَى النَّبِيِّ وَ أَهْلِ البَيْتِ كُلِّهِم
On the Prophet and his household, all of them
